Hi! I’m Julianna, the face (and hands!) behind it all.

Years ago, a friend introduced me to candle-making as a fun weekend thing to try. I’ve always enjoyed having candles burning at home, but I often found that store-bought ones gave me headaches (you know the ones). When I learned more about what actually goes into those candles, I realized they were filled with toxins and additives I didn’t want in my space.

What started as a hobby and creative outlet away from my career has grown into something much more: a way to connect with others, build a community, and share beautiful, high-quality candles that people can feel good about burning in their homes.

Each candle is hand-poured in small batches by me and my husband using natural soy wax, lead-free wicks, and phthalate- and paraben-free premium fragrance blends. Everything is packaged in recyclable, plastic-free materials, because how we make our products matters just as much as how they smell.

By day, I’m also a Professional Civil Engineer (P.Eng) working in Guelph and living in Waterloo. I’ve always loved building things, whether that’s hands-on activities as a kid, redesigning roads as an engineer, or creating and growing a small business.

Julianna Candle Co. is built around the things I value most: care, connection, and sustainability. It’s about lighting up your home and filling it with an aroma that feels good for you and for the planet.
